It's time to dapper myself up! (Excuse!!)

I ordered these shoes on Zara website 2 weeks ago

And collected them in the shop on Thursday

They are sporty moccasins

easy to smarten casual looks 

and of course, soften smart images..

Please ignore the alarm tags/ stickers inside the shoes

I can't be bothered to take them off

Anyway, you might think I bought them on a whim

To be honest, yes

But after wearing them for a few days 

They are just comfy and easy to style with..

Good buy after all

Let's see after the Apocalypse

Received my residence permit TODAY!!!

 I am totally relieved and very happy

Finally!!

And it's valid until 2013..

I doubt if I will need a permit to stay after the end of the world though... :-P

Living in a miniature world

There's a function called "Miniature Effect" in my camera

I find it really interesting

It creates an illusion that I am taking photos from a diorama

It also looks like we live in a miniature world

I am still playing with it

the photo is just giving you an idea of how it looks like..

Lovely surprise today!!!!

Before going to work this morning, 

I received my surprise!

A packet from Home Office

I received the documents and the passports we sent to them 

And a letter

The letter confirms that I will receive my new residence permit in a week

which is for another 2 years

I am so happy and grateful to receive my renewed visa

Next step, finding myself a better job to compliment this permit

Oh yay! I am a happy man now!

J. T. Batchelors

As I am designing my own bag, 

I went to J. T. Batchelors Leather today

They basically have everything in terms of making any kind of leather goods

They even have a little workshop now 

which allows you to participate in your own project

SWEET!!

They were really helpful. 

While I was there

I had a chat with one of the designers/ patter cutters in the workshop

talking through my ideas

Also chose the leather I am going to use..

Haven't found the fittings though

But am still very excited about this upcoming project

This looks quite promising

Really chuffed about it

Better than the one I went before

Hopefully everything goes well

I can't resist any kind of beautiful art crafts..

Before I start this one

I want to clarify that I am not a shopaholic 

I have returned those two pairs of shoes that I was writing about earlier in my blog

As the leather of DMs was too hard, it hurt my feet, 

and the Clarks ones were purely due to my skintness 

I had to returned them to get some money back and to make myself feel less guilty

So after those shoes

These are my new love

Now I am such a big fan of high-soled shoes

Dr. Martens is one of the brands that makes beautiful high-soled

and sometimes comfy shoes..

but tidied the flat as J's mum is coming from Spain tomorrow

Just received a text from DPD, the courier for my new Dr. Martens

I was so surprised by this service when I received it

Have all the delivery services become this sweet and good? 

Too many shoes, too little money..

Wait! Don't judge me before I start!

I bought these lovely Clarks Aschcott Monk shoes on Thursday this week

And today, I realised I just ran out of money

I had to return them

The colour is gorgeous

The design is great

The sole is sooo soft and comfy

But, for my own good, 

I still have to say good-bye to you ( or see you later? :-P )

Amazing London

One of my friends flew from Copenhagen last week to visit London..

She used to live in the city and we used to be colleagues

I find London amazing

I met some incredible friends here

I fell in love here

And it's got the most stunning view at night. 

(While the sky is clear...)

Don't you ever plan anything before you get out of home

Cause you never know what is going to happen when you ARE in London

By the way, I saw Matt Cardle last night shopping alone in the street.

Everything is new, is interesting.. is with stories..

And I always find it very difficult to do so

2011 =100

This year, 2011, is our "Republic" Year 100

Of course it's some milestone for us

It has been 100 year since Dr. Sun Yat Sen established Republic of China, R.O.C.

But I really hate this term, "Republic of China"

What the heck?

I understand people called our country R.O.C. when the political situation or some directions of where we were going were still blurry

But now we are THERE, we know where we are going 

We are separate from the people in China

I wouldn't say that we are independent 

but R.O.C. is not a long-term phrase to describe Taiwan, 

a economically independent country

Especially it's been 100 years

You need to DO SOMETHING, government!!

Also, this year

We have created our "Year 100 mascot" 

I find it pointless but rather cute

Its hair(?) symbolises sun ray on our flag which represents democracy and equality

And its scarf is just the flag.

What do you think?

Cheesy enough, but I LOVE it

Luis Fonsi, born in Puerto Rico

later moved to the States when he was 10 with his family

I would say he is more like Ricky Marten in a calm version

The song is talking about not giving up

No matter what you are pursuing

J told me the background story was about a woman who had cancer

and her husband wasn't giving up fighting for it with her..

Very touching but I can't find any information about this song so far

So anyway enjoy it
